Miss Ellie - The ugliest purebred dog in the world
Ugly is the new beautiful, at least according to the owner of Miss Ellie, officially the World’s ugliest purebred dog. The 15-year-old Chinese crested hairless dog came in first in the purebred category at this summer’s World’s Ugliest Dog Competition at Sonoma-Marin Fair in California. Her owner, Tennessee-based Dawn Goehring, has now entered Miss Ellie in America’s Pet Brands’ online cutest dog contest, where she’s in for a one-million-dollar cash grand prize. Goehring told Knoxnews that she had figured the cutest dog competition would be the next logical step as everyone told her Miss Ellie was too cute to be the ugliest.
