Comic hero beagles

Of all the dogs that appeared on the pages of comic books, beagles are the No.1. This is probably due to their popularity in the USA, they’ve always been in the AKC Top 10 throughout the past decades. And the inherent wisdom in their eyes really makes you think they are smarter than you, which actually may be the case.
Here’s our list of comic hero beagles:

1. Snoopy – The World’s most famous beagle. He’s a legend and needs no introduction. In the picture below he’s joined by real-life beagle and Westminster dog show winner Uno.

2. Underdog – There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here! The 60’s-70’s television series superhero later went on to become a movie star.

3. Brian Griffin – Yes, Brian from Family Guy is a beagle too.

4. Odie – Although in the movie version he was impersonated by a dachshund, the original rival of Garfield was a beagle too. Maybe not the smartest beagle, but on some occasions he still managed to outsmart the fat cat.

5. The Beagle Boys – Of all the comic characters listed here, the members of the Duck Tales gangster family show the least resemblance to the real beagle, but as their name suggests, they are beagles too.
