Can you sense the grave danger the dog in the picture is posing to the kids? I certainly can’t, but a recent inspection at The New School in Exminster, Devon (UK) found that the headmistress’s West Highland Terrier, Rosie could not be kept in the school. Needless to say, the 11-year-old adopted westie is totally harmless, and the children love her. Fortunately, headmistress Michelle Taylor could persuade the authorities by conducting a risk assessment that the dog was safe to be kept in the school. The risk assessment basically meant that pupils were instructed to wash their hands after stroking Rosie. And it worked, a second inspection approved of the school westie.
