13. Miley Cyrus – Teenage sensation Miley has got 2 Yorkies amongst other dogs. This one’s called Roadie (or Rodeo), and the other one is called Shooter.

The notion that Yorkies are a womans dog is no longer correct. I’ve had Yorkies for several years. I’ve found them to have such wonderful personalities that I doubt I will ever be without one of these wonderful creatures. I was quite busy when I lived in CA doing Yorkie rescue work and happy to say that I found wonderful forever homes for some of the Yorkies who through no fault of their own, found their way into the rescue system. Some of the best adoptive parents I found were men.
I moved to South Carolina from Hollywood, CA a little more than 3 years ago. This past April, I drove back to CA to pick up Kirby. Kirby was being fostered by the Yorkshire Terrier Club of Los Angeles. When I lived in CA, I was a board member of that club. Kirby was born without eyes. He was being sponsored by Dr. Will Kirby of “Big Brother” fame. Kirby’s namesake. As a matter of fact, Dr. Kirby also has a Yorkie of his own. Kirby is so smart he is constantly amazing me with what he is able to accomplish without eyes. I am training him basic obedience commands now and hope to soon put him in an advanced obedience class. I hope to eventually get him certified as a Therapy Dog. I can’t think of anything else that could bring more inspiration to those in need of it than to have a visit with this wonderful little dog.
