The town of Divide, Colorado has the cutest candidates in the history of municipal elections. Both the dog party (Dogocrats) and the cat party (Republicats) have delegated several four-legged contestants for the mayor’s position. The campaign posters around Divide claim that “Cats don’t want a dirty dog running their town,” and “Dogs think cats are too sneaky to be mayor.” The pet election is actually a charity organized by the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter, and people can vote with their donations. And not just locals, you can also support your favorite candidate here.
