Elwood, the tiny Jack Russell terrier may be the smallest dog in the world. According to his owners, Elwood is 3 and a half inches (9 centimeters) tall, 6 inches (15 centimeters) long and he is only 15 oz (425 grams). Elwood has already passed the one-year age milestone, so if his measurements were confirmed by Guinness, he could officially become the World’s smallest dog, breaking the rule of chihuahuas and teacup yorkies.

Elwood is adorable and extremely smart. He shows the intelligence usually attributed to a Jack Russell. Was he bred to be that small or was it nature’s magic?

sooo… Elwood just happens to love talk show hosts who might put him on tv and make you famous? And not because you say their names while giving him treats? Sounds a bit dodgy really.
Why would anyone promote breeders who are intentionally profiting by selling dogs that are bred well below any recognized breed standard? As a result of such practices these “teacup” type dogs, often suffer serious health consequences and enjoy significantly shortened life spans. Exploitation comes in many forms!

My dog, Mille is around the same size as Elwood..
She’s a pomeranian.. She’s 10 cm heigh og weighs 500 g..
She’s born 28th jan. and I own both her parents and they are normal size like Mille’s siblings..
We’re from Denmark – Mille is Denmarks smallest dog

HOW CUTE!!!!I have a Husky that I adopted from a pound.His name is Knox.It killes me how people can be so mean to this works of art.I Try to help the shelter out but it seems as if no one cares plz try in your state the dogs need it.Knox is ! yr old he had a sis that was put to sleep i didnt get to save her in time but u can plz adopt are help out at a shelter.

He is also very lucky indeed to have the longevity gene that all JR’s have, my JR lived to be 19, I miss him dearly! Way to go Elwood! And to his owner, you’re very lucky indeed x
