Apparently, this chubby puppy is the world’s fattest pug. Jia Bio weighs 46.2 pounds (21 kilograms). Pugs are prone to obesity, so be careful with handing out treats for them. Let’s hope Jia Bio can lose weight soon!

Police dogs. Sure, German shepherds, the Beagle Brigade, but a chihuahua? Apparently, yes. Momo, a 7-year old long-haired Chihuahua has just passed the test to join the Japanese police force alongside a bunch of significantly larger K-9 colleagues.

50 Cent’s dog, Oprah Winfree (apparently named after a certain TV show host) has her own Twitter account, with over 11,000 followers. The cute miniature schnauzer was the subject of some controversy recently when the gangsta rapper jokingly threatened her with a knife in a picture of which PETA strongly disapproved. Actually, I don’t think it was funny either.

Boo Boo, the World’s smallest dog by height, recently met Giant George, the World’s Tallest Dog in New York City’s Central Park. The two extraordinary dogs were promoting the newest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Although Boo Boo’s owner seemed a little worried that George may accidentally swallow the tiny pooch without even noticing it, the weird duo got along well.

The successor of the recently deceased English bulldog mascot Uga VII made his debut yesterday. Uga VIII, also known as Big Bad Bruce, will be representing the fighting spirit of the University of Georgia from now on. This also means that the team didn’t opt for a robot bulldog, as PETA recommended earlier.

Puggy, the Pekingese is the official Guinness World Record holder for The Dog with the Longest Tongue in the World. His humongous tongue measures 4.5 in (11.43 cm). Watching him eating ice cream is definitely spectacular.

Sad news: one of Kelly Osbourne’s Pomeranian puppies, 14-week-old Woody was found dead recently. To make things worse, the tragic event was preceded by Kelly’s break-up with fiance Luke Worrall. Kelly’s other pom puppy, Sid was given to her as a birthday present in November.
